With NYC Audubon, NYC Parks and Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy
Rockaway Beach is a year-round source of joy and entertainment for residents all along the Rockaway peninsula, and it comes alive each summer from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend with millions of visitors. In addition to providing fun and entertainment, Rockaway Beach also serves as a home to several species of birds including the Black Skimmer, the Common Tern, and the endangered Piping Plover.
Join New York City Audubon, in partnership with New York City Parks and Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, in an evening of beautifying the gem that is Rockaway Beach. The cleanup will focus on the beach and boardwalk area. Snacks, water, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, tools, and gloves all provided!
