Join United By Blue and Jamaica Bay Rockaway Parks Conservancy for a Community Cleanup of Canarsie Pier, part of Gateway National Recreation Area. We're collaborating with local community groups to clean up Canarsie Pier along the Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn, and we invite the support of volunteers to join us in this effort. Come out and volunteer with us by picking up trash from Canarsie Pier 's shoreline!
Meet us at Canarsie Pier to get geared up and head out with your volunteer team. All cleanup supplies will be provided by United By Blue, including gloves, bags, and safety materials. Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Please bring your own reusable water bottle filled - we'll have water to refill as needed.

United By Blue will adhere to all local regulations pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event is fully outdoors and efforts will be made to keep volunteer groups spread out. Please bring a mask with you for close proximity situations. Our reusable cleanup supplies are industrially cleaned between uses, but we welcome volunteers to bring their own supplies if they feel more comfortable.
After the cleanup, stick around to hear from our awesome partner organizations on the work they're doing to keep Jamaica Bay clean year round. There will be games, giveaways, and snacks to celebrate your impact! All United By Blue cleanups are family friendly and ability inclusive. If you have anticipate needing ability-related accommodations, please contact cleanup@unitedbyblue.com ahead of time.
