ROCKAWAY RIDES IS AN IDEA THAT OUR COMMUNITY CAN MAKE REALITY.

Rockaway Rides represents a potential public private partnership between Circuit Rides and The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) New York Clean Transportation Prizes program to provide FREE or affordable electric shuttle van service throughout the transportation deserts in the Rockaways. The service will provide short rides within the confines of the Rockaways.

In order to make it a reality, we need to hear from you and your neighbors.

WHAT IS THE NEW YORK CLEAN TRANSPORTATION PRIZE?

The New York Clean Transportation Prizes program is administered by NYSERDA in partnership with the New York State Department of Public Service and the Department of Environmental Conservation, as part of an $85 million allocation through New York’s Make Ready program to accelerate the transition to a clean transportation future. Circuit is an innovative solution eligible for the challenge and is partnering with the Rockaways in its application for the Electric Mobility Challenge. Electric Mobility Challenge provides up to three $7 million grand prizes will be awarded to projects that demonstrate innovative safe and convenient electric mobility options that help solve community transportation needs.
