Volunteers needed to help JBRPC as we transform the central pathway at Frank Charles Park to a living landscape with new plantings!
Join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and New York City Council Member Eric Ulrich to beautify Frank M. Charles Memorial Park! Join us as we transform the central pathway to a living landscape with new plantings. Together, we will plant thousands of beautiful native plants that will provide four seasons of interest and habitat for wildlife.
The Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy will provide all necessary tools, gloves, and refreshments. We recommend volunteers wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and appropriate shirts. Bring a refillable water bottle, and be ready to get your hands dirty!
Meet at the entrance sign to Frank M. Charles Memorial Park, Gateway National Recreation Area, located at 165th Avenue and 98th Street, Howard Beach, Queens.
