In the fall of 2019, Leave No Trace and REI are teaming with local partners to create large-scale cleanup events. Each of the eight featured events will host 100+ volunteers — we’ll work together to remove litter, restore natural qualities and learn essential skills for protecting the environment.

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be on hand at these events, teaching Leave No Trace skills and conducting free raffles for attendees with great outdoor gear provided by REI.

The Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge is excited to host Leave No Trace and REI for an #OptOutside Black Friday Beach Cleanup. The National Park Service with the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and the American Littoral Society look forward to providing a valuable experience for volunteers.
