Help clean the beach at Breezy Point Tip on International Coastal Cleanup Day!

In honor of International Coastal Cleanup Day, join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, American Littoral Society, National Park Service and Compass: The Belisario Team for a beach cleanup at Breezy Point Tip. Breezy Point Tip is a 200-acre natural area within Gateway National Recreation Area and home to important habitat for nesting piping plovers and other birds. The park includes beaches, natural dunes and marshlands.
Volunteers will help clean the beach, removing trash and large marine debris, while documenting trash collected for NYS Beach Cleanup. Gloves, bags and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy, close toed shoes - cleanup will be held rain or shine. A guided nature walk will take place after the cleanup.
