Be a part of the Respect Campaign and join the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and Surfrider Foundation - NYC Chapter on International Coastal Cleanup Day for a beach cleanup at Rockaway Beach on Beach 30th St. Help remove harmful debris from this important shorebird nesting area along the Rockaway Beach boardwalk.

On International Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers will join volunteers across the world in cleaning beaches and shorelines while also collecting data on the types of marine debris found on shorelines.

In order to ensure your health and safety, please make sure to follow the socially distant volunteer guidelines found at jbrpc.org/volunteer along with local, state and federal guidance related to COVID-19. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available.

Gloves, bags, tools will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring their own water and sunscreen. Event is rain or shine.

For your safety, participation will be limited. Please review the Socially Distant Volunteer Guidelines before registering and only register if you are healthy and able to attend.
