Learn all about diamondback terrapins, estuary dwellers who come ashore every summer to nest in Jamaica Bay parks! The expert NYC Parks Rangers will talk about why diamondbacks love Jamaica Bay, and introduce you to Pepper, their pet terrapin. Then, you'll take a walk with terrapin researcher and local naturalist Alexandra Kanonik into Marine Park's salt marsh trails, looking for evidence of egg-laying terrapins! All ages are welcome.
