Jamaica Bay and Rockaway residents - we need your help to find all of the creatures that call our city home during the City Nature Challenge 2018! In both the paved and green spaces of our city, many species survive and thrive. The Macaulay Honors College and Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy are asking all New Yorkers - residents, visitors, commuters, students, teachers, pedestrians, park lovers, parents, children, EVERYONE - to become citizen scientists and help make as many iNaturalist observations as we can. On Saturday, April 28 from 10a - 12p, find us at Bayswater Park (Bay 32nd Street and Beach Channel Drive) as we lead children on a nature walk, scavenger hunt and art project, and help make observations through iNaturalist.
