Celebrate summer with a guided plant and pollinator walk in Marine Park, Brooklyn's largest city park! Take in the beauty of native plants, explore the important role different species play in the Jamaica Bay ecosystem, and discover the fascinating strategies plants employ to attract the right pollinators. We'll also discuss how a shifting climate threatens the evolutionary relationships between plants and their pollinators. All attendees will receive a free copy of the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy's new Jamaica Bay and Rockaway Plant and Pollinator field guide.
Meet outside the entrance of the Salt Marsh Nature Center, (3301 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11234). Please wear comfortable closed-toed shoes suitable for walking.
